Interactive yoga mat that targets every sense in your body, for a somatic experience

Project aim and Objectives
 

Creating an immersive yoga mat that users are able to use from the comfort 
of their own home, targeting every sense in their body for a somatic experience. The
ability to charge and connect your device using bluetooth, allows the yoga mat to operate the electronic features.

Prototype Production Methods
 

An Arduino board is designed to be attached to one end of the mat and will function as the primary power and control source for the electronic components. The Arduino will conduct the battery percentage and the box around the Arduino is  a protector  from any sweat or water.

Mobile App Wireframe

Using apple sketch, I was able to create a wireframe of how we wanted the mobile app to look, we organized where all the
features would be located included usernames, brith dates, sessions, history,  and profile. I wanted to create a mobile app wireframe in order to organize everyones ideas in one place to view the structure and functionality of the overall app.

Project Summary
 

Reflection 🧠
 

This project pushed me to think beyond conventional solutions, taking a simple product and redesigning it to be more intuitive and meaningful for users. Through this process, I explored ways to promote healthier engagement and integrate aspects of somatic experience.

Evaluation 📊 
 

Conducting usability testing, prototyping physically/digitally, creating ideas of how certain features can create somatic experience, showed me the importance of conducting research and testing products before launching them to users.
